As the largest multidisciplinary sleep center in the region, the Washington University Sleep Medicine Center is staffed by physicians from the departments of neurology, pulmonary and critical care medicine, otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, and psychology.
The Sleep Medicine Center is an Accredited Member Center of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
The AASM provides a gold standard by which other organizations and companies evaluate sleep programs, assuring quality patient care through comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment.
The sleep center physicians and professional staff offer your patients the benefit of many years of specialized sleep medicine training. In addition, the sleep center specialists work closely with consultants in the fields of cardiology, psychiatry and pediatrics.
These specialists have the full resources of Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital available to them.
Round-the-clock sleep studies are another distinct advantage offered by the Sleep Medicine Center ensuring the best testing conditions possible.
24-hour scheduling allows patients, who are involved in shift work, to sleep during their normal sleep periods while a sleep study is performed.
